ABOUT LOUENICE

I couldn't tell you how I magically fell into creating candles but I can tell you it's been just that - magic!

Boiling water, melting the wax, mixing in the oils, a little math + science. . .and a little witchy!

My heart has always been in the world of sweets. Baking + Decorating. Cupcakes + Cakes. Oh, and I decided to be vegan for a while. In doing so I quickly realized I needed an alternative to sweets. I crafted my own vegan cookies. After work I would bake and sell cookies. Somewhere along the line I stumbled into candles. Weird combo, right?

In 2016 Louenice be came Cookies + Candles. I eventually fell completely (or maybe I jumped) off the vegan bandwagon. I stopped selling my cookies (they were really good though!) and kept up with the candles.

As life would have it I stopped making candles until 2020. Along with the rest of the world I had free time and decided candle making was what I wanted to do with that free time. I started from scratch - everything became new again except for the name. It was an exciting time creating new fun flavours! To my surprise people took to my candles quickly.

Candles have been a sweet escape from every day challenges. I hope to keep expanding and growing my brand into more than candles. I appreciate every order, share, like, comment, compliment, photo, and conversation I have with each of you about Louenice. Without you it wouldn't exist and my world would be a lot darker.
